Forest Lake
June 2009

The weather has warmed up and it's finally summer! This means that the Forest Lake Parks and Running Aces crews have been called back to work.

We have also been enjoying our community parks and other outside areas. It feels good to be outside again.

The big news is that Forest Lake will be increasing in size! We soon will be able to use the whole building!

We have been working on contract work, the Forest Lake Chamber mailing, PRI, tin cans (a project for American Polywater), and Pheasants Forever.

What are your plans for the summer? Some people were asked this question. Here is what they said:

Angie A.: I want to work at Running Aces and help out with the horses, listen to music and take a road trip with my group home.

Mary L.: Go bike riding, take walks, go out to eat, go shopping, go visit family at the farm in Hugo.

Roxanne S.: Visit my mom at the cabin, go for walks, attend the "Bring a Friend" picnic and enjoy the warm weather.

Matt H.: I would like to go on vacation to Dallas, Texas. I would like to go bowling and watch movies.

Diane C.: I want to sit on the porch and drink coffee, build puzzles, read books, gardening, make flowers out of construction paper and watch TV.

Bernie B.: I like to swing at the park and go fishing. I like going bowling and I like to watch movies.

Chad E.: I'm gong to take a vacation and go to Texas and go to Sea World. I like to go bowling. I like to cut grass and visit my Grandpa.
