A new retail venture may be for the birds,
but it is providing employment opportunities
for ESR consumers.
Birders Select is mixed, packaged and labeled by
the adults with developmental disabilities served
by ESR. The birdseed blends sport names like
“Finch Fancy,” “Cardinal Diet,” and “Songbird
Buffet,” making it easy to determine which feathered friends they seek to attract.
This project provides jobs for ESR consumers, and as many as a dozen individuals earn a wage preparing the seed blends in the agency's program sites.
To place your bird seed order directly with ESR, please call 651-351-0190, extension 10. Your order will be prepared and held at the ESR location nearest you (Forest Lake, Oakdale, Cottage Grove, Stillwater) until you are able to pick it up.
