ESR Board of Directors
ESR receives guidance and support from a Board of Directors that represents a cross-section of professional disciplines and includes individuals from among ESR's business partners, our community and the families of those we serve. Terms are two years in length, and a board member cannot serve more than three consecutive terms.
Board members provide oversight of the agency's governance and play an important role in its fundraising efforts. The board typically meets monthly (with the exception of December); with meetings generally scheduled on the third Monday of the month.
The ESR Board of Directors operates within an organized framework that leads to a clear focus on the agency's mission statement and value statement. This has helped frame the role and responsibilities of the executive director and board members and their relationship to one another. The consistency and clarity in operational expectations and practices that have resulted, along with continual return to the mission and focus on outcomes, have shaped what ESR's accrediting agency calls "an organization of integrity, confidence and vitality."

The ESR Board of Directors invites and welcomes public
comment at the start of each of its meetings.
The Board meets at 5 p.m. on the third Monday of nearly every month to discuss
issues of governance, finance and more. Meetings are open and accessible to the
public. (There are no meetings in July or December.)
