ESR Team Council

The ESR Team Council exists to give a voice to consumers in learning about advocacy, increasing knowledge about their rights and planning activities they enjoy.

Each of ESR's program sites in Cottage Grove, Forest Lake and Stillwater elects or chooses representatives to serve on the Team Council. The group meets monthly, rotating between the three program sites. Several times a year, the Team Council invites speakers from the agency or broader community to spend time with them to share their areas of expertise or experiences.

The Team Council's biggest events each year are the Friend Picnic in June, Christmas caroling in area senior citizen's residences, and planning off-site lunches held at various restaurants in the community. Last summer, members of the Team Council and their friends adopted a park in Stillwater where they picked up trash before enjoying the setting for their Friend Picnic.
